<p>After looking for online drinking games with my cousin one night, we found way to many apps have wayyyyy to many ads. I told him I could develop the same game within minutes. I started with an array of rules and a random number to choose a rule on click. I then found a open-source HTML5 canvas which I modified for these needs and used Google&#8217;s Firebase to store an object of the rules which contains a title, a description, gameType and an author.<video width="300" height="150" muted="" autoplay="autoplay" loop="loop" poster="http://juancchavez.com/projects/drinko/"></video></p>

Drinko – a web based drinking app


<h1>Description</h1>



<p>Designed a content management system which aggregates the universities’ public data feeds into a singular consumable API. Created a prototype web-based mobile application which consumes the API to create a branded and tailored user experience. Extracted information architecture and design decisions on seven different university mobile applications to compare the experience of a student, prospective student, alumni, and parent. Wrote a twenty-page grant application and was awarded funding for research through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURAS).<video width="300" height="150" muted="" autoplay="autoplay" loop="loop" poster="http://juancchavez.com/projects/creighton-research/"></video></p>

Music Production – rap, hip hop, and DJing


<h1>Description</h1>



<p>TacosAre.Life is a clothing line released in Omaha, NE on Cinco de Mayo of 2017. We sold apparel at a booth at the Cinco de Mayo parade in Omaha NE and also online on our site at ww.tacosare.life. All designs and products were designed by my brother and me as taco lovers ourselves.</p>



<p>The e-commerce store was a custom template built on top of the open source e-commerce platform Open Cart. This allowed us to build a brand and save costs of by deploying our own minimalistic template with much of the functionality built out. We were featured on a local Television program which promoted what we were doing.</p>

<p>The project was killed in 2019 and the project has been inactive since.</p>


Tacos Are Life – a clothing line


<h1>Description</h1>



<p>This app was a side project used to help categorize and track my monthly transactions to see where my monthly spending is going. I built the app using Webpack, Node, Express, MongoDB, and Vue.js. The main functionality is to import a CSV file with a list of transactions and to label each transaction with what the transaction is. Once labeled, the next time the program sees a similar transaction, it automatically labels the transaction. You can see how much money was spent and how much was paid toward the account.</p>
